CHLOE PIERRE

Chloe Pierre is a fashion maven, digital marketer, content creator and the founder of wellness community thy.self. thy.self aims to actualise self-care both online and in real life as well as diversify the wellness community, both within the UK and internationally. Working with the likes of H&M, Pinterest, Nike, and Samsung, Chloe’s curated workshops, events, and talks are making wellness accessible for all.

SHEER: Tell us a little bit about yourself and where you're from.

CHLOE PIERRE: My name is Chloe, I am a London born and raised creative specialising in marketing culture and bring communities of people together.

SHEER: How would you say your cultural background and upbringing influenced your passions?

CP: My cultural background taught me the ways of the world many don't see and how to navigate it through truth, self-expression, wealth whilst remembering my heritage and who I am as well as who I came from. That said, it also taught me to admire the beauty in people and unusual places. To appreciate what is.


SHEER: What was the inspiration behind your blog and what was launching it like?

CP: I initially wanted a space to share my work due to being an intern when I started it and not getting any credit for anything (an industry standard - at the time). It quickly grew to my online journal and then a place to practice writing and managing media relationships.


SHEER: How do you use fashion as a way to express yourself?

CP: I use fashion as a way to discover new cultures and new ideas within myself. I also use it as a way to be bold and bolder.

SHEER: In what ways do you believe the fashion and influencer industries can work towards being more body inclusive and how is your platform advocating for this?

CP: It’s really simple, thinking outside of those present in the decision room and allowing people to tell their own stories without telling it for them and subsequently appropriating their experience, cultures and existences.

SHEER: Tell us a little more about thy.self and how it is diversifying wellness?

CP: thy.self is a disruptive wellness brand, challenging the norms of what wellness looks like, diversifying the wellness industry and actualising self-care and self-love in an inclusive and relatable way.


SHEER: What does wellness and self care look like for you?

CP: Wellness and self-care looks like actions I personally take to better myself and the world around me.

SHEER: What advice do you have for creators trying to stay mentally and emotionally grounded during these uncertain times?

CP: Create a life strategy and discover what you hold dear and true then focus on that.
